Kaiser Invitational Cross-Country Meet at CORP - Boys

Borys Pleskacz of Iolani School has been running well this season, but at CORP he ran better. He looked more relaxed and in control and dominated from start to finish with a time of 12:31. Noone else was able to break 13:00 in the boys intermediate race. Borys also lead his Iolani team to the championship with a score of 32. The 5th runner for Iolani was 11th. Punahou was 2nd with a score of 68.

In the JV race, Kevin Donahue of St. Louis continued his fine season with a winning time of 19:21. I think I first noticed this fine runner at the Mid-Pacific meet a few weeks ago. Elmer Arceo of Waipahu took 2nd with a time of 19:27, Reyn Fernandez and Landon Nagata of Punahou were right behind with times of 19:31. Then Tyler Mulloy of Iolani finished in a time of 19:33. Punahou took the team title with a score of 49. Kamehameha-Oahu was 2nd with a score of 69.

In the varsity race, the Roosevelt Riders of Iowa took control early and held it. Roosevelt took 1st, 2nd, 4th, 8th and 10th. For good measure they also took 13th and 18th! Angel Hernandez of Roosevelt took 1st place in a time 17:59, 25 seconds over the 2nd place Eder Sanchez of Roosevelt. Kamehameha-Oahu had 68 points, good for second place.
